A Mayan carved stone mask, featuring a stylized human face with rectangular cut-out eyes and an open, oval mouth. The material is a mottled, translucent, brownish-green stone, consistent with jade or serpentine, exhibiting natural banding and variations in color. The forehead is adorned with geometric relief carvings, including central rectangular bands and two upper circular motifs with radiating lines, mirrored on circular ear-like appendages. Two small holes are present at the upper sides, through which a light-colored string is threaded, suggesting it was intended for hanging.
