A Japanese-style short sword or large dagger, resembling a tanto or small wakizashi. It features a polished metal blade. The hilt is wrapped in black cord over a white, textured underlayer, and fitted with silver-toned metal fittings. The pommel (kashira) is decorated with a relief of a dragon, while the hilt collar (fuchi) displays a landscape or geometric pattern. The accompanying black scabbard (saya) is equipped with a black cord (sageo). No discernable maker’s marks or inscriptions are visible on the item itself.
