A Scheurich West Germany stoneware jug, model 489-23, exhibiting a mid-20th century European pottery style, often associated with “Fat Lava” ceramics. It features a bulbous body with a single handle, transitioning from a textured, speckled beige and brown glaze on the upper section to a richly decorated lower body. The lower half displays distinct bands of impressed floral (quatrefoil) and dot motifs in amber and dark brown glazes. The base is marked in raised relief with “GERMANY” and “489-23.”
