A Bank of England Five Pounds banknote, Great Britain, Pick number P-378, issued between 1980 and 1987. The obverse features a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II in regal attire, accompanied by the denomination “FIVE POUNDS” and “£5,” the serial number “KS07 505621” (visible twice), and a vignette of two horses. Text includes “I PROMISE TO PAY THE BEARER ON DEMAND THE SUM OF FIVE POUNDS” and “LONDON FOR THE GOV. AND COMP. OF THE BANK OF ENGLAND,” signed by D.H.F. Samuel, Chief Cashier. The reverse displays a portrait of “The Duke of Wellington 1769-1852” in military uniform, set against a detailed battle scene.
