A Royal Doulton ‘The Jester’ D6277 plate. This decorative ceramic plate features a central, colorful illustration of a smiling jester in red, green, blue, and yellow attire with a two-pointed hat and bells, holding a jester’s staff. The plate’s rim is decorated with a garland of green leaves, yellow flowers, and yellow lanterns. “The JESTER” is inscribed in a decorative script on the front. The reverse displays a Royal Doulton backstamp, comprising a lion atop a crown, encircling “MADE IN ROYAL-DOULTON ENGLAND” and a central ‘D’ device, with the pattern number “D.6277” below.
