A United Kingdom 2004 Brilliant Uncirculated £2 ‘Steam Locomotive’ commemorative coin, issued to celebrate the 200th Anniversary of the Steam Locomotive. The bimetallic coin features a gold-colored outer ring and a silver-colored inner core. The reverse design depicts an early steam locomotive, with the denomination ‘TWO POUNDS’ and partial text including ‘INDUSTRY’ and ‘INVENTION’. The coin is presented within its original informational card folder. The folder’s left panel features a portrait of Richard Trevithick amidst industrial gears, with text identifying it as ‘UNITED KINGDOM 2004 BRILLIANT UNCIRCULATED £2’ and celebrating the ‘200TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE STEAM LOCOMOTIVE’.
