A group of three gold-toned commemorative medallions, each housed in its original hinged presentation box. The first medallion, from The Tower Mint, London, is an “EXCLUSIVE EDITION UNIVERSITY OF SHEFFIELD SOLID PROOF MEDALLION” featuring the university’s crest and the Latin motto “RERUM COGNOSCERE CAUSAS, ” accompanied by a blue ribbon. The second and third medallions are both from Pobjoy Mint, England U.K., and are presented in clear protective capsules. One Pobjoy Mint medallion is inscribed “STRAX PRODUCTS ARE USED BY 2 BILLION PEOPLE 2 TIMES A DAY” and “SMX, ” dated 1988. The third Pobjoy Mint medallion commemorates “THE QUEEN’S AWARD FOR EXPORT ACHIEVEMENT 1988,” featuring a design depicting a ship or offshore rig.
