A pair of bronze vases, each featuring a trumpet-shaped neck, a compressed globular body, and a flaring foot. The bodies are extensively decorated in high relief with traditional East Asian motifs, including a five-clawed dragon coiling amidst stylized clouds and turbulent waves on one vase, and a phoenix-like bird surrounded by similar cloud and wave patterns on the other. On the recessed base of one vase, there is a cast square seal mark comprising four characters, which reads “宣德年製” (Xuāndé Nián Zhì), translating to “Made in the Xuande reign.”
