A Confederate States of America T-70 two-dollar banknote, dated February 17th, 1864. Issued from Richmond, the paper currency features an engraved design with “TWO DOLLARS” prominently displayed, along with the issuer “CONFEDERATE STATES AMERICA” and the handwritten serial number “94575.” A portrait of a bearded man appears on the right side, and text references “Six Months after the ratification of a treaty of Peace between the Confederate States & The United States of America.” The reverse exhibits an elaborate engraved pattern with “TWO” in the center and “2” in each corner.
