A Chinese Blue and White Porcelain ‘Double Happiness Cranes’ Ginger Jar, Qing Dynasty. This lidded cylindrical porcelain jar features underglaze cobalt blue decoration on a white ground. The ornamentation includes a scenic panel depicting a crane beside a pine tree, a roundel with stylized calligraphic or symbolic elements, and various abstract patterns. The separate lid is also decorated with blue abstract motifs. The base of the jar bears a blue underglaze four-character mark, ‘乾隆年製’ (Qiánlóng Niánzhì), translating to ‘Made in the Qianlong reign’.
