Lot 86: A 'Foreign' Marked Ceramic Thatched-Roof Cottage Biscuit Barrel

A ceramic decorative container, likely a biscuit barrel or tea caddy, styled as a whimsical thatched-roof cottage with a separate lid and a woven wicker handle. The glazed finish features earthy tones of brown, orange, green, and white, depicting brickwork, windows, a door, and climbing foliage, with a detailed thatched roof. The underside is impressed with the word “FOREIGN” and what appears to be a faded green stamp, possibly a maker’s mark or country of origin, alongside the number “4”.
