Buyer's premium:

This lot comprises a collection of disassembled antique aneroid barometer components, likely dating from the late 19th to early 20th century. It includes four ornate, dark-stained wooden wall-mount cases, each featuring carved foliate and scroll motifs. Accompanying these are numerous barometer dials, primarily of paper or enamel, many marked “MADE IN ENGLAND,” displaying weather conditions such as “RAIN,” “Changeable,” “FAIR,” “Very Dry,” and “Stormy,” alongside pressure readings (e.g., 28-31) and some text indicating “Aneroid Barometer” and wind directions. Also present are multiple brass and silver-toned bezels, various barometer mechanisms including aneroid capsules and linkages, a small clear glass bottle, and miscellaneous small parts such as screws and barometer hands. Some of these small parts are stored in a wooden cigar box, which bears Spanish text including “ELABORADOS 100% CANARIAS” and “PRODUCTO ARTESANO,” along with a sticker stating “PROHIBIDA SU VENTA A MENORES DE 18 AÑOS” and “Fumar daña los pulmones.”
