Lot 49: Signed J. Paton Framed Marine Seascape Oil Painting

An oil painting signed ‘J. Paton’ in black script in the lower left corner, depicting a bustling marine seascape with multiple sailing vessels under a cloudy sky. The scene features figures in smaller boats near the main ships and a small boat beached on the foreground shore. The artwork is housed within an ornate, gold-toned wooden frame with visible decorative molding. The reverse of the frame shows a wooden or particle board backing, sealed with tape, and fitted with a hanging wire.
