A pair of Elizabeth I Silver Threepence coins, consistent with late 16th-century English coinage. The larger coin, dated 1581, features a central cruciform design on the obverse with partially legible Latin text “MOMEN…” and “…TORE…” around the perimeter. Its reverse exhibits a worn central motif surrounded by a legend where “REGINA” (Queen) and “ANG” (of England) are faintly visible. The smaller coin, dated “158x” (likely 1587 or 1588), displays a similar cruciform design on its obverse with discernible Latin legend “ELIZABETH DEI GRA…” (Elizabeth by the Grace of God) around the edge. Its reverse shows a central crowned rose surrounded by a worn legend. Both are circular, irregularly shaped hammered coins, appearing to be silver due to their color and patina.
