A 1967 Great Britain Pre-Decimal Mint Set, also known as the ‘Farewell to the L.S.D. System Coin Set’. Housed in a red display card with a clear plastic overlay, this set contains six pre-decimal coins: a Half Crown, Florin, Sixpence, Half Penny, Penny, and Threepence. An explanatory note on the card states ‘NO SHILLINGS—ENGLISH OR SCOTTISH—WERE STRUCK IN 1967’. Also included are two loose, circulated, silver-colored coins: one dated 1980 with ‘Ciro’ visible, and another dated 1977 depicting a horse and rider. The collection further comprises a commemorative coin, housed in a clear capsule within a blue cardboard holder, celebrating ‘HER MAJESTY QUEEN ELIZABETH THE QUEEN MOTHER 80TH BIRTHDAY AUG 4TH 1980’ and marked ‘MADE IN ENGLAND’, featuring a royal portrait.
