The prominent oval plaque on the upper section reads: “THE PROTECTOR LAMP & LIGHTING”, “TYPE GR6S”, “M & C”, “SAFETY LAMPS”, “APPROVAL No. B.2 / 253”, “MAKERS”, and “ECCLES”. Further markings on the glass include “M&Q”, “Chance”, “59-25”, and “59-5”.
