A Brit. Banknote GP Comm. Coins ‘British Banknotes £1 Portrait Series C’ commemorative medal, presented in a clear plastic capsule. The medal is gold-tone. The obverse features decorative motifs, inscribed “THE £1 BANKNOTE” and “PORTRAIT SERIES C”, with a miniature paper Bank of England “ONE POUND” banknote (serial X29H 143178) affixed to its surface. The reverse displays an allegorical seated female figure, possibly Britannia, within an ornate frame, inscribed “BRITISH BANKNOTE” above.
