A British Banknotes ‘The 10 Shilling Banknote Portrait Series C’ gold-plated commemorative coin. Encased in a clear plastic capsule, the obverse features a classical female figure, likely Britannia, alongside the inscriptions ‘THE 10 SHILLING BANKNOTE’ and ‘PORTRAIT SERIES C’. A miniature replica of a red-hued ‘BANK OF ENGLAND TEN SHILLINGS’ banknote, bearing serial number A52R 026117, is affixed to the obverse. The reverse displays a different seated classical female figure within an ornate cartouche, topped by the inscription ‘BRITISH BANKNOTES’. Accompanied by its original paper Certificate of Authenticity, numbered 06896, which confirms it as a ‘Brit. Banknote GP Comm. Coins’.
