Description
A set of James Kent Fenton ‘Ye Olde Foley Ware’ blue and white transferware dinnerware. This collection comprises one large, deep, scalloped-edge serving bowl, multiple dinner/side plates, several smaller bowls, and multiple teacups. The items are decorated in a transferware style depicting pastoral or rural landscape scenes, including cottages, windmills, trees, and figures, all framed by intricate floral or foliate borders. A visible manufacturer’s mark on the base of one teacup identifies the maker as “J & G MEAKIN,” located in “FENTON,” “ENGLAND,” and specifies the material as “ROYAL SEMI-PORCELAIN.”
