The items are decorated in a transferware style depicting pastoral or rural landscape scenes, including cottages, windmills, trees, and figures, all framed by intricate floral or foliate borders. A visible manufacturer’s mark on the base of one teacup identifies the maker as “J & G MEAKIN, ” located in “FENTON, ” “ENGLAND, ” and specifies the material as “ROYAL SEMI-PORCELAIN.”
