General Auction, Antiques, Gold & Silver (14% Buyers Commission)
This lot comprises five ancient, dark metallic coins, likely Roman Imperial, exhibiting characteristics consistent with bronze or copper alloy coinage from what appears to be the late 2nd to 3rd centuries CE. The obverses generally feature a heavily worn bust in profile, some with a visible radiate crown, while reverses depict indistinct standing figures or are entirely smooth from wear. Fragmented Latin inscriptions, including common abbreviations such as ‘IMP C’ (Imperator Caesar) and ‘AVG’ (Augustus), are partially discernible around the busts.
