Lot 48: A Collection of Nils Olsson Dalecarlian Horses
A collection of seven carved wooden horse figurines, exhibiting the traditional Swedish folk art style known as Dalecarlian horses (Dalahästar). Each piece features a vibrant red painted base adorned with intricate, hand-painted ‘Kurbits’ floral and scroll-work motifs in white, yellow, green, and blue. An oval paper label affixed to the underside of one larger horse reads “ÄKTA DALAHÄLSING NILS OLSSON HEMSLÖJD AB S-79052 NUSNÄS SWEDEN,” confirming their origin and maker.
