A Meopta Admira 8F 8mm motion picture camera, manufactured in Czechoslovakia, circa mid-20th century. The camera features a textured grey metal body with black and chrome-plated accents. Branded ‘Admirica 8F’ on its front, alongside a prominent ‘C & L’ logo, it includes a removable pistol grip and an attached fabric wrist strap. The viewfinder is marked ‘mapla’. Exposure is controlled via numerical dials (e.g., 1.5, 3, 5, 10, 20), and a sliding focus guide is present, marked in both feet (0.33 to 3.3 ft) and meters (0.33 to 3.3 m). Accompanied by its original brown textured faux leather or leather zippered carrying case, lined with red felt, which also contains an ‘Admirica 8F MOTION PICTURE CAMERA OPERATION’ manual.
