This lot comprises two antique wooden boxes. The larger box is a rectangular case crafted from a dark hardwood, likely mahogany, featuring a burr wood veneer panel on its lid. The lid is adorned with a shield-shaped brass escutcheon and keyhole. Its interior is lined with green felt in the main compartment and blue velvet on the hinged lid. The smaller box is constructed from dark-stained wood and features butterfly-style brass hinges and clasps, small wooden feet, and a prominent brass plaque on its lid engraved “BY APPOINTMENT”. The interior of the smaller box is plain bare wood.
