A Royal Doulton glazed porcelain figurine, ‘Biddy Penny Farthing’, HN 1843, modelled by Leslie Harradine, copyrighted 1937. The figure depicts an elderly woman dressed in a dark shawl with purple fringe, a pink floral blouse, a long white skirt, and a dark cap. She holds a cluster of yellow textured items in her right hand and carries a basket in her left arm. The basket is filled with similar yellow textured items and topped with a group of glossy, spherical objects in red, orange, yellow, green, and purple. The base is marked ‘Royal Doulton’, ‘Made in England, hand made and hand decorated’, and ‘ROYAL DOULTON TABLEWARE LIMITED 1937’.
