General Auction (14% Buyers Commission)
A substantial collection of phonograph records, comprising predominantly 7-inch 45 rpm singles, alongside likely some larger format records (10-inch or 12-inch LPs/78s). The records are made of black vinyl or shellac and are housed in a mix of original paper and cardboard sleeves. Visible labels include DECCA, Columbia, HMV (His Master’s Voice)/Grammophone, RCA Victor, and SUPREME RECORDS. Some sleeves display text such as “THE ROVERS” and “UNITED ARTISTS RECORDS LTD., MORTIMER STREET, LONDON, W.1.” The lot also includes three record storage solutions: two vintage-style portable cases, one brown leatherette/fiberboard with metal clasps and handle, and the other similar but darker and appearing reinforced with black tape; and one open cardboard box filled with records.
