A Victorian sterling silver vinaigrette by Nathaniel Mills, Birmingham, dated 1842. This small, oblong, hinged box is crafted from sterling silver in a Rococo-influenced style. Its lid features scalloped edges, an engine-turned surface, and a central cartouche bearing an ornate engraved monogram ‘B’. The interior reveals a gilded finish and contains a separate, hinged, pierced inner lid adorned with scrollwork.
