A pair of Limoges France cobalt blue and gold miniature jug pitchers. Each piece features a rich cobalt blue glaze with extensive gold gilding. They have a bulbous body, a gracefully curved gold-gilded handle, and a matching gold-lined spout. The exterior is elaborately decorated with rococo-style gold scrollwork, floral patterns, and figural scenes depicting a man kneeling before a woman holding a fan. The word ‘Limoges’ is elegantly incorporated into the design on the body. The base of one jug bears a clear backstamp, reading ‘LIMOGES A B FRANCE’ with a stylized ‘AB’ encircled, and below, ‘FABRIQUE ET DECORE LIMOGES (FRANCE)’, translating to ‘Manufactured and Decorated Limoges (France)’.
