A vintage decorative table ornament, designed as a ship’s wheel mounted on a circular wooden base. Constructed from stained wood with brass-colored studs and projecting ‘spokes.’ The central circular panel displays a pastoral scene of thatched cottages, a horse-drawn cart, and figures, bordered by a gold-colored Greek key (meander) pattern. Other views reveal a translucent blue insert. The item originally functioned as an illuminated piece.
