An early 20th-century sterling silver medal or fob, featuring an ornate, shield-shaped design with scrolling banners and decorative foliage elements surrounding a central, unengraved escutcheon. The reverse is stamped “FATTORINI & SKIPTON” and bears a set of British hallmarks, including the Lion Passant for sterling silver, the anchor for the Birmingham Assay Office, a date letter ‘q’ (indicating 1915-1916), and a maker’s mark “J.G&S”. The item is fitted with a jump ring at the top.
