Lot 97: A Victorian 925 Silver and Guilloché Enamel Portrait Vanity Case

A rectangular hinged vanity case, crafted from 925 silver. The exterior sides are adorned with ornate floral and scroll relief decoration. The lid features a deep blue guilloché enamel ground, over which a light blue portrait of a woman in an 18th-century style powdered wig and dress is depicted. The interior is gilded and fitted with a mirror in the lid, along with internal compartments. The interior rim of the lid is engraved “AU VOYAGE . PARIS.”, indicating a Parisian retailer.
