A pair of original World War II British / South African Mk2 Army Helmets, characteristic of the ‘Brodie’ or ‘Shrapnel’ pattern. The first helmet is heavily oxidized, displaying significant surface rust and pitting across its exterior. The second helmet features a darker, possibly textured finish, showing general wear and some surface abrasions. Its interior contains a moderately degraded but largely intact leather and canvas suspension system with a canvas chin strap. A stamped marking of ‘5L 41’ is visible inside the second helmet.
