A vintage Reuben Heaton ‘The Ever Ready’ fishing scale, of apparent British manufacture. This hanging spring scale features a circular metal casing and a clear protective face. The dial is marked with numerical weight measurements from 0 to 15, with larger numbers 1-7 prominently displayed, and features a red indicator needle. The dial is inscribed with ‘REUBEN HEATON,’ ’33 LTD.,’ ‘STREETLY, SUTTON COLDFIELD, WEST MIDLANDS B74 3JZ,’ ‘Makers,’ and ‘THE EVER READY SCALE,’ centered around a portrait of a man. The scale is equipped with a hanging loop at the top and a double hook at the bottom for weighing items.
