A sterling silver and Mother-of-Pearl folding fruit knife. The single sterling silver blade and bolster are clearly hallmarked for Birmingham, with the anchor assay mark, the lion passant, the date letter ‘i’ (for 1908), and the maker’s mark ‘C.W.F’. The handle scales are crafted from Mother-of-Pearl, decorated with engraved floral and foliate motifs on one side, including a plain shield-shaped escutcheon. The reverse features a simple star-like design.
