Lot 131: NOVICA Hand-Carved Onyx and Marble Chess Set
Not sold
A complete chess set, likely contemporary or mid-to-late 20th century, comprising a board and 32 pieces. The chessboard is constructed from polished stone, featuring alternating black and white squares consistent with marble or onyx, and framed by a darker border. The stylized chess pieces are carved from stone; one set is translucent white with visible veining, characteristic of onyx or marble, and the opposing set is opaque black with a matte, slightly textured finish.
