Lot 105: A Single East Asian Style Turquoise Glazed Ceramic Foo Dog Figurine

A single ceramic figurine depicting a mythical creature, likely a “Foo Dog” or guardian lion, presented in a traditional East Asian style. It is rendered in a vibrant, high-gloss turquoise-blue monochrome glaze, exhibiting subtle crackle. The creature is depicted seated on an integral rectangular pedestal base, featuring stylized fur, an open mouth, and a fierce expression, with one paw resting on a sphere or object. The material is glazed ceramic or porcelain, evident from the unglazed white biscuit visible on the base. The base reveals indistinct impressed markings or characters on the unglazed portion, including what appears to be the Chinese character “八” (bā – eight).
