A collection of mid-20th century English novelty ceramic tableware, crafted from glazed earthenware or similar pottery, in a distinctive ‘thatched roof’ cottage style. The set comprises a teapot, a lidded sugar bowl, a creamer, multiple cups and saucers, a lidded biscuit barrel with a metal handle, and a salt and pepper shaker set presented on a tray. Each piece is decorated with hand-painted details depicting cottage features such as windows and foliage. The bases of the items bear clear green circular manufacturer’s marks reading “MADE IN ENGLAND” and “REG No.” (partially obscured), confirming British origin and indicating a registered design.
