This item is a 1993 Royal Australian Mint $10 Silver Proof Coin from the “Birds of Australia” series, featuring the Palm Cockatoo. The coin is housed within a clear protective capsule, which is set into a royal blue velvet-lined hinged presentation case. The presentation case also contains a Certificate of Authenticity. The coin’s obverse displays a stylized image of a cockatoo alongside the denomination “10 DOLLARS.” The reverse features a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II with the inscriptions “ELIZABETH II AUSTRALIA 1993.” The entire set is encased in a light blue hard-shell outer case, which is inscribed with “BIRDS OF AUSTRALIA,” “TEN DOLLAR SILVER PROOF COIN,” “PALM COCKATOO,” “1993,” and identifies the “ROYAL AUSTRALIAN MINT” along with the Australian coat of arms.
