The handle is crafted from sterling silver, identified by a series of distinct London hallmarks: a crowned leopard’s head (assay office mark), a lion passant (sterling silver standard mark), an apparent date letter ‘P’, a maker’s mark within a rectangular cartouche (likely initials like ‘J.G.’), and a sovereign’s head duty mark. A small jump ring is affixed to the end of the handle for attachment. The single blade is made from steel.
