Lot 31: Vintage Detecto Cast Iron Dial Scale, Marked 'FOREIGN'

A vintage Detecto cast iron mechanical dial scale. Constructed from painted cast iron, featuring a heavily rusted, diamond-patterned weighing platform. The base and stand, originally a cream or off-white color, show significant paint loss and chipping. The circular dial face, which appears discolored and possibly missing its protective cover, displays numerical markings ranging from 0 to 280, with a central pointer. Clearly visible text on the dial reads “FOREIGN,” indicating its probable origin outside the country of sale.
