Lot 168: A Gothic Revival Cast Iron Door or Drawer Pull
Not sold
A single Gothic Revival cast iron door or drawer pull, comprising a horizontal bar with relief foliate or scrollwork, from which three stylized, leaf-shaped pendant drops articulate via looped connections. The object is made of a dark metal, likely iron, exhibiting a heavily patinated and oxidized surface with visible pitting and corrosion, consistent with age and prolonged exposure. The ornate, organic style is characteristic of the Gothic Revival aesthetic.
