Lot 132: Vintage Hand-Carved Wooden Figural Sculpture

A vintage hand-carved wooden figural sculpture, depicting a seated human or human-like figure with one hand raised to its head, suggesting a contemplative or listening posture. The dark brown wood exhibits a visibly textured, rough-hewn surface consistent with a primitive or folk art style. Items of similar style and material are sometimes attributed to the Makonde people of Tanzania. No specific artist’s marks or textual inscriptions are visible on the figure itself.
