Lot 119: A Cased Victorian Silver Cigarette Case

A Victorian silver cigarette case of rectangular, hinged form, featuring an ornate, all-over foliate engraving with a central, un-engraved oval cartouche. The interior is lined with aged tan leather, presenting compartments for cards or notes, and a fitted slot housing a slender, silver-toned mechanical pencil. Faint, indistinct markings, potentially hallmarks, are visible on the metal case. The main piece is housed within a fitted black, textured presentation box, lined with red velvet in the base and bright pink satin in the lid.
