A circular aneroid barometer, dating from the late 19th or early 20th century, encased in a dark-stained wooden housing with a brass bezel. The dial, protected by a glass cover, displays pressure readings in inches (28-31) alongside weather terms including “Stormy,” “Rain,” “Change,” “Fair,” and “Very Dry.” Time is indicated by a central primary pointer and a secondary blue pointer. The reverse of the wooden case features a brass hanging hook and a faint, handwritten inscription: “Bought May 28, 1898 Bellfield, Colchester.”
