General Sale - 1st September 2025
A collection of at least three dark olive-green or grey-green folders, likely constructed from a flexible material such as faux leather or vinyl. Each folder features prominent gold foil lettering, “THE WAR PAPERS,” in a bold, sans-serif font. The lowest visible folder is marked with a yellow label indicating “1 – 15” and another yellow label specifying the historical period as “SEPT. 1939 TO JUNE 1941,” referencing the early years of World War II. A small white label with the number “3359” is affixed to the left edge of one folder. Newspaper clippings are visible peaking from between the top folders, suggesting their contents are reproductions of WWII-era news. This collection is identified through web consensus as “The War Papers Collection” of WWII newspaper reprints, with one reference attributing it to Marshall Cavendish, 1976.
