A Wedgwood Jasperware Sterling Silver Cherub Brooch. This circular Neoclassical Revival style piece features a white bas-relief of a winged putto or cherub on a pale blue ground. The ceramic cameo is set in an ornate sterling silver frame with a scalloped border, convertible for use as a pendant. Visible impressed markings on the ceramic reverse include “WEDGWOOD”, “MADE IN ENGLAND”, and “76 W”, the latter potentially indicating a late 20th-century date code. The piece is presented in its original dark blue hinged box, which bears “Wedgwood” and “MADE IN ENGLAND” stamped on its satin lining.
