General Sale - 1st September 2025
A vintage bi-faced circular pendant, crafted from a 1967 British Half Crown coin. The coin, originally cupro-nickel, has been treated to present a gold-toned appearance and subsequently enamelled. One side features a profile bust of a young Queen Elizabeth II facing right, set against a vibrant green translucent enamel. The reverse displays the British Royal Coat of Arms, rendered in multi-colored enamel, surmounted by a crown, flanked by the initials “E R” (Elizabeth Regina), and encircled by the inscriptions “FID. DEF. 1967” (Fidei Defensor – Defender of the Faith) and “HALF CROWN”. This reverse side is preserved under a clear, slightly yellowed resin coating. The item is fitted with an open, silver-toned metal jump ring.
