Lot 240: A Rustic Horseshoe bottle holder

A rustic, possibly handmade, stand, likely intended as a bottle holder, constructed from repurposed materials. It features eight black-painted or oxidized metal horseshoes, arranged in two vertical columns of four, which are welded or bolted together. These are attached to a central, unvarnished wooden post, which is secured to a rectangular wooden base. The metal components, likely iron or steel, exhibit a dark, textured finish with visible wear, surface pitting, and original nail holes from their prior use. The wooden elements show natural grain and an unrefined finish, consistent with a utilitarian and possibly industrial or folk art style. No specific manufacturer’s marks or text are visible on the item itself.
