General Sale - 1st September 2025
This lot comprises multiple sets of British coinage from the reign of Elizabeth II. The first set is housed in a blue velvet-lined case, containing eight uncirculated or proof-grade decimal coins, alongside a small rectangular brass-colored plaque bearing the Royal Coat of Arms. Visible denominations include “50 NEW PENCE”, “10 NEW PENCE”, “5 NEW PENCE”, “2 NEW PENCE”, “1 NEW PENNY”, and “1/2 NEW PENNY”. A second set, presented in a cream-colored card within a blue faux-leather wallet, contains seven similar uncirculated decimal coins. The third grouping consists of ten individual coins displayed in a clear plastic sleeve, which includes a mix of early decimal “NEW PENCE” and “NEW PENNY” denominations, older large bronze pennies depicting a ship, a threepence coin, and a larger “Crown” piece. Visible dates across the collection range from 1967 to 1971. All coins bear the effigy of Elizabeth II with inscriptions such as “ELIZABETH II D G REG F D” and “FID DEF”, and are primarily composed of cupro-nickel and bronze.
