General Sale - 1st September 2025
A collection of five silver-colored commemorative coins and medallions, predominantly from the latter half of the 20th century, all relating to British royal events. The collection includes three coins commemorating the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II in 1953; one features a shield design with the inscription “ELIZABETH II DEI GRATIA BRITT:OMN:REG:F:D:” and “FIVE SHILLINGS”, while two others depict St. George and the Dragon on the reverse with “ELIZABETH II D:G:REG:F:D:” on the obverse. Also included is a coin issued for Queen Elizabeth II’s Silver Jubilee in 1977, marked “25 PENCE” and “ELIZABETH II D:G:REG:F:D:”. The fifth item, dated 1981, commemorates the wedding of H.R.H. The Prince of Wales and Lady Diana Spencer, and is presented in a blue sleeve marked “Presented by Cussons (UK) Ltd 29th JULY 1981”. All items are housed in individual protective plastic pouches or holders.
