A collection of six large-denomination, silver-colored commemorative coins from the United Kingdom, dating from 1965 to 2000. Each coin is protected within an individual clear plastic holder or capsule. The collection includes two 1965 Churchill Crowns, featuring a young Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse and Winston Churchill on the reverse. Also present is a 1969 coin depicting H.R.H. The Prince of Wales. The collection further comprises various 1999 and 2000 ‘FIVE POUNDS’ issues, which display older effigies of Queen Elizabeth II. One specific 1999 ‘FIVE POUNDS’ coin unusually presents the Queen’s portrait and full inscription on both visible sides. Another 2000 coin features an equestrian figure on one side and a floral design on the reverse. Common inscriptions such as ‘ELIZABETH II DEI GRATIA REGINA F:D:’, ‘ELIZABETH II D.G. REG. F.D.’, and ‘FID: DEF:’ are present, translating to ‘Elizabeth II by the Grace of God Queen, Defender of the Faith’.
